Harvest Community Church held its first service on July 26, 2009 after four years of prayer and planning. HCC is located in the farming/ranching community of Avilla, Mo, just 10 miles East of Carthage.
Pastor Waylon "Bub" Miller holds credentials with the Assemblies of God.
Originally, a church plant of Oak Street Assembly of God in Carthage we are now a fully independent church, but remain doctrinally with the Assemblies of God Fundamental Truths.
We believe in the one true God of the Bible and that salvation has been provided for man through His Son, Jesus Christ. We also believe that God is still working in the world and in people's lives today through His word and the power of His Holy Spirit! Our focus is to be a Holy Spirit filled church, centered on ministry to the rural community of Avilla and in building Christ's kingdom around the world!

We are a "come as you are" group. Whether you just got off work, or just finished your farm chores, don't worry about appearances, what's important is coming together to worhip in God's house. Rest assured, you won't feel intimidated here!
